At Bensons Trading we believe that the greatest change you can make is to start.

Being a conscious brand, we understand the responsibility a company like ours plays on preserving the world for future generations – and we are on a journey of discovery and committed to changing our ways moving forward. Currently, Bensons showbag plastic bags are made using Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) with the addition of an EPI additive. This additive promotes the breakdown of the plastic from 100 to 1,000 times faster than the natural breakdown process. This means that in no time at all our bags breakdown into nothing more than water, carbon dioxide and biomass. Our bags are also designed with the intent that they are used more than once, or be recycled. We often see our bags in the wild, at the school drop off, or filled with fresh food at farmers market, and this makes our green hearts sing. Our tote bag thickness is well above the national industry standard, meaning that you can carry more of your favourite items around, and use them daily.

At Bensons we understand the growing concerns from many of our customers about reducing plastics in our showbags and we’re working hard to do just that. We are regularly attending printing and packaging fairs looking for more suitable and sustainable options for not only our industry, but for the environment as a whole.
