The Towers Pastoral, Agricultural and Mining Association (TPAMA) was established in 1881 and the show is held at the end of July each year. The show takes place at the Charters Towers Showgrounds 13 Miner St, Charters Towers, QLD 4820.
The show is a fun few days to celebrate the local agriculture and local community. People attending the show can expect to see cattle, horses, sheep, goats, working dogs, pedigree dogs and much much more. As well as animals and livestock the Charters Towers show is a platform for a variety of artists to show off their creations through various competitions such as photography, paintings, cake decorating, quilting and other crafts. Of course, it wouldn’t be a show without delicious food, exhilarating rides and fun-filled showbags.
The Charters Towers Show was scheduled to take place from the 26th and 28th of July 2020. Unfortunately due to the current COVID-19 situation the difficult decision was made to postpone the 2020 show.
